Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2025

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Jointalentrow (“Jointalentrow”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about candidates and other visitors to jointalentrow.com (the “Site”) and any related services (together, the “Services”).

Jointalentrow operates as a referral connector: we match candidates with employers and referrers who may help submit referrals into company hiring systems. We are not the hiring employer.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three main ways:

  • Information you provide directly.
  • Information we collect automatically when you use the Site.
  • Information from third parties (for example, referrers or employers who give us status updates).

2.1 Information you provide

When you submit an application or contact us, you may provide:

  • Contact details (name, email address, phone number, city, state, country)
  • Professional information (resume, job history, skills, desired roles, seniority, salary expectations, work authorization)
  • Optional details you choose to share (LinkedIn profile, portfolio links, availability, relocation preferences)
  • Account and authentication data for the admin area (email and password hash for admins only)
  • Any other content you send us in messages or forms

We do not ask you to provide medical records, treatment history, or other protected health information (PHI). Please do not include that information in your application.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically log certain technical data, such as:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, and time spent on pages
  • Referring URLs and general location based on IP
  • Cookies or similar identifiers used for basic analytics and security

2.3 Information from referrers and employers

If a referrer or employer uses Jointalentrow, they may share limited updates with us, such as referral submitted, interview status, hired / not hired, and approximate start date, so we can track outcomes and referral bonus eligibility.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Review your profile and match you with open roles and referral opportunities
  • Share application details with potential employers and referrers when you consent
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and Services
  • Run analytics to understand usage and improve candidate and referrer experience
  • Send you transactional messages (submission confirmations, status updates, important notices)
  • Respond to your questions and support requests
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

If we ever use your information in a way that is materially different from what is described here, we will update this Policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information in these situations:

  • With employers and referrers. When you apply for a role or ask for a referral, we may share your application details, resume, and relevant notes with the referrer or employer so they can evaluate your fit and submit an internal referral.
  • With service providers. We use third-party vendors for hosting, email delivery, analytics, and similar services. They may access information only to perform work on our behalf and must protect it.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction where permitted by law.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe it is required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Jointalentrow, our users, or others.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site secure and to understand how visitors use it. You can usually control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling cookies may limit some features.

7. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including:

  • As long as your profile or applications are active on Jointalentrow
  • For the time needed to track referral outcomes and any applicable bonus windows
  • For as long as required by law, to resolve disputes, and to enforce agreements

If you ask us to delete your information, we will follow Section 10 (“Your Rights and Choices”), subject to any legal obligations to retain data.

8. How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and restricted access to production systems.

No website or online service can guarantee perfect security. We cannot promise that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat our safeguards, but we work to reduce that risk.

9. Children’s Privacy

Jointalentrow is intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

  • Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your profile and applications, subject to legal requirements
  • Object to or restrict certain types of processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@jointalentrow.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

If you are a resident of California or a similar jurisdiction with specific privacy laws, you may have additional rights. We will handle your request in accordance with applicable law.

11. Emails and Marketing

We may send you emails related to your applications, referrals, or important updates about the Services. You cannot opt out of these transactional messages.

If we ever send marketing emails (for example, new roles or features), you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as employer career pages or LinkedIn). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We recommend that you review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

13. International Data Transfers

The Site is hosted in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may be different from those in your country.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice as required by law (for example, by email or a prominent notice on the Site).
